Early Childhood Special Education
The preschool specialists at Region 4 provide professional development, resources, and technical assistance designed to support early childhood providers in meeting the learning needs of preschoolers with disabilities.
Young children with disabilities are increasingly being included in the kindergarten classroom. This conference is about designing responsive classrooms and delivering curriculum and instruction to meet the needs of any student, including those with disabilities. Participants will gain information, strategies, and materials that will help them create a classroom where students with disabilities can receive specially designed instruction that supports their learning in the least restrictive environment.
This 2-day conference is designed to provide support that can be used in all settings by teachers of preschoolers with disabilities. Participants will have the opportunity to attend sessions that offer in-depth information on topics such as creating a high-quality early childhood program, specially designed instructional strategies for differentiation, and providing supports in the least restrictive environment. Participants will gain information, strategies, and materials that will support service delivery to preschoolers with disabilities in various classroom settings.
