TEHCY District/Charter and Regional Liason Directory

Every LEA must designate an appropriate staff person as a local homeless education liaison. This person also may be a coordinator for other federal programs. Local liaisons must ensure that

  • children and youth in homeless situations are identified by school personnel and through coordination activities with other entities and agencies, and
  • students experiencing homelessness enroll—and have full and equal opportunity to succeed—in school.

The homeless liaison at the ESC assists LEAs in the identification and service of homeless students. The ESC also provides training and resources for district homeless liaisons. The homeless liaisons at Region 4 ESC are LaShonda Evans and Twiana Collier.
