CONFERENCES
Virtual Leadership Symposium | October 20, 2020Join us for the 2020 Leadership Symposium with national presenter and turnaround school expert, Principal Baruti Kafele.
As a middle and high school principal, Principal Kafele led the transformation of four New Jersey urban schools, including "The Mighty" Newark Tech—which went from a low-performing school to being recognized three times by U.S. News & World Report as one of America's best high schools.
Since leaving his principalship in 2011, he has delivered more than 2,000 conferences and program keynotes, seminars, assemblies, and workshops. An expert in the area of “attitude transformation,” Principal Kafele is a leading authority on providing effective classroom and school leadership strategies toward closing what he coined, the "Attitude Gap.”
Kafele is the author of five best sellers—including Is My School a Better School BECAUSE I Lead It? and the recipient of the National Educator Award and the National Alliance of Black School Educators Hall of Fame Award.
His latest book, The ASSISTANT Principal 50: Critical Questions for Meaningful Leadership and Professional Growth, was released on May 25, 2020 and sold out immediately.
Kafele's presentations and writings bring a reflective approach that creates a basis for transformative change and improvement.
