Region 4 celebrates the success of a unique community partnership aimed at providing Alief ISD mental health providers, teachers, nurses, and counselors with supports in trauma-informed practices, self-care, and emotionally supportive practices for a more effective relationship with students and families. Alief ISD high school students were awarded scholarships by H-E-B to develop mental health awareness programs at their schools.
Region 4 thanks H-E-B, Alief ISD, the YMCA of Greater Houston, the Jung Center, and the Trauma and Grief Center of the Hackett Center for Mental Health for their support in this endeavor. The Region 4 OEMSS mental health team looks forward to continuing this important work with you.
