The annual Region 4 Teachers of the Year program identifies nearly 100 nominees from more than 40 school districts and 39 charter schools. Our event is part of the Texas Teachers of the Year program, which is a statewide effort of the Texas Association of School Administrators (TASA) and the other 19 education service centers across Texas. Your organization’s contribution supports our more than 99,000 educators who instruct our 1.2 million students.
Innovation
Join us in highlighting teachers who exemplify best practices in student instruction and innovative classroom environments throughout Region 4. Our Teachers of the Year finalists advance to compete in the state competition with one teacher representing elementary school educators and one representing secondary school educators. The next Texas Teachers of the Year could be one of these representatives!
Recognition
Because of your generous support, we are able to host an exciting evening with 500 educators as well as education and industry representatives. Prodigious student musicians join us to perform their music. We also recognize honored teachers from the past. The event concludes with the announcement of the two Region 4 Teachers of the Year winners. This is a great opportunity to champion teachers in our community schools.
