Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB) - College Access Loan (CAL) Program

The College Access Loan Program, administered by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB), plays a crucial role in supporting Texas students who encounter difficulties in covering the full cost of attendance at institutions of higher education. The cost of attendance, representing an institution's estimate of expenses for a typical financial aid recipient, encompasses various aspects. This program stands as an alternative financial resource, ensuring that eligible students can access the funds needed to pursue their educational goals.

Veterans Assistance

We are currently only approved to accept funding for benefits under Chapter 31 Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment (VR&E.) VR&E, sometimes referred to as the Chapter 31 program, provides services to eligible Service members and Veterans with service-connected disabilities to help them prepare for, obtain, and maintain suitable employment or achieve independence in daily living. A Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor (VRC) works with the Veteran to determine if an employment handicap exists. It is important to note that benefits under this chapter are only approved for the Veteran or Service member. The Veteran or Service member would simply need to reach out to their VRC for eligibility details! Find out how to apply for Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) today by visiting https://www.va.gov/careers-employment/vocational-rehabilitation/how-to-apply/ or call 800-698-2411, ext. 0.
