School Redesign Grant, Pilot Cycle
TEA has announced the availability of grant funds for the 2017–2019 School Redesign Grant, Pilot Cycle, grant program. Request for Application (RFA) #701-17-101 is authorized by the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA), Public Law (P.L.) 144-95, Title I, Part A, Sec. 1003, School Improvement. School Redesign is a comprehensive and bold approach by districts to increase the number of students in highly rated campuses through a supported implementation of a school redesign program in eligible campuses
Eligible applicants include local educational agencies (LEAs) with a campus identified as a 2016-2017 Title I priority school or a Title I focus school and that are not currently being served by a Texas Title I Priority Schools, Cycle 4 or 5 grant.
10–15 grants will be awarded and will range from $250,000 to $1.5 million.
To be considered, applications must be submitted by 5:00pm on July 13, 2017 to TEA
The grant period will be from August 28, 2017 through July 31, 2019.
