Kindergarten Inclusion Conference

Young children with disabilities are increasingly being included in the kindergarten classroom. This conference is about designing responsive classrooms and delivering curriculum and instruction to meet the needs of any student, including those with disabilities. Participants will gain information, strategies, and materials that will help them create a classroom where students with disabilities can receive specially designed instruction that supports their learning in the least restrictive environment.
 
 
Early Childhood Inclusion Conference
July 18–19, 2018

This 2-day conference is designed to provide support that can be used in all settings by teachers of preschoolers with disabilities. Participants will have the opportunity to attend sessions that offer in-depth information on topics such as creating a high-quality early childhood program, specially designed instructional strategies for differentiation, and providing supports in the least restrictive environment.  Participants will gain information, strategies, and materials that will support service delivery to preschoolers with disabilities in various classroom settings.


Division for Early Childhood (DEC)

DEC Recommended Practices (April 2014): Visit the DEC website for additional resources and access the DEC Recommended Practices. The DEC Recommended Practices provide guidance to practitioners and families about the most effective ways to improve the learning outcomes and promote the development of young children, birth through age 5, who have or are at risk for developmental delays or disabilities.

 
Recognizing and Performing the DEC Recommended Practices: Visit the Early Childhood Technical Assistance (ECTA) Center website for additional resources and products to support the implementation of the DEC Recommended Practices. 

 
DEC Position Statements: Visit the DEC website for position statements on specific topics and issues such as inclusion, leadership in early intervention and ECSE, and child maltreatment.
