Safe and Drug Free Schools

Examine innovative programs and learn strategies to strengthen key district personnel's skills in leadership resolution, school safety, and academic student success. Leadership & Research Services offers professional development workshops designed to facilitate the implementation of the Safe and Drug Free Schools and Communities Act, Part A of Title IV.

Region 4 sessions can also be customized and delivered as on-site trainings for districts and campuses. Professional development offerings, products, and services are available in the following areas:

  • Character Counts: Building Academic Success through a Character Education Program
  • Conflict Resolution
  • Peers Making Peace Training
  • Prevention Activities that Work in the Classroom
Drug And Violence Education
Access the Drug and Violence Education (DAVE) tool that was developed with Safe and Drug Free Schools funds through a partnership between Region 4 Education Service Center in collaboration with the Texas Education Agency under a grant from the U.S. Department of Education.
