The Principal Certification program is a program designed for experienced teachers and other school personnel to obtain principal certification through state approved plans.
All of the Region 4 Educator Certification Programs are approved by the State Board for Educator Certification (SBEC). Additional information regarding program approval and teaching credentials in the state of Texas can be found at the SBEC website at
www.sbec.state.tx.us. Program rules and requirements are subject to change at any time due to SBEC requirements.
The application deadline for the upcoming October 2009 certification-only program is September 16. For those interested in the upcoming Jan 2010 certification and degree program, the application deadline is December 16, 2009. The online application, application fee, and all required documents must be received at Region 4 ESC by 12:00 pm. Please note that the October training cycle will be delivered completely online via Blackboard.
