Braille Services
Region 4 Braille Services is a non-profit braille production facility that provides equal access to print materials for people who read braille.

Braille Services has been brailling textbooks and testing materials for Texas since 1976. Textbooks are currently transcribed for 40 states and testing materials for 24 states. In addition, textbooks and testing material are transcribed for Washington, D.C. More than a million pages of braille are produced each year.
Why Braille is Necessary
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) provides civil rights protection to individuals with disabilities in private sector employment, all public services, public accommodations, transportation, and telecommunications. Braille users are covered under this umbrella of protection and have the right to equal access of all printed materials.
